A single-story municipal building in tan brick with brown-brick trim, built in a late Art Deco / Streamline Moderne manner. A stepped central tower marks the entrance, its face set with horizontal brown-brick bars and crowned by a tall aluminum fin, with a stepped metal canopy over the doors beneath a grille transom reading "2634." Vertical brick fins run as a parapet frieze across the flanking wings, and the walls rise from a banded brown-brick base. Steel multi-pane windows sit in plain brick openings, a broad vehicle bay opens on the flank, and a tall brick chimney stands to the rear.
The station was built in 1937 as the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Second District station, designed by Albert Osburg. It later passed out of police use and now houses the City of St. Louis's emergency medical services, with ambulances working from the side bay.
