L. Cass Miller

Born 1856 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Studied architecture in England and under Henry R. Searle before joining Stephen D. Hatch's New York office around 1879. Served as supervising architect for the Merchants-Laclede Building in St. Louis and remained in the city afterward to continue practicing.
