Henry Spence

Henry Spence was an architect active in St. Louis in the 1840s. His most notable work was the second Planters House Hotel (opened 1841), a four-story, 300-room Greek Revival structure at Fourth and Pine Streets that was one of the largest hotels in the United States at the time of its construction.
